Privacy Policy

At Tender Suppliers, we respect user privacy. Recognising that the procurement process is confidential and private, we are dedicated to ensuring that our services meet and exceed our users’ expectations.

We know that the process involves providing sensitive personal information to others.

As part of our core service offering, Tender Suppliers collects various data. This includes personal data such as your name, email address, and mobile phone number, as well as non-personal data such as your site activity and browser characteristics. We do this with your explicit consent, ensuring that you have control over the data you share with us.

Tender Suppliers collects information on our site visitors, including which sections of the site are most frequently visited, how often, and for how long. This data is always used as aggregated, non-personal information.

Tender Suppliers uses the information collected from site visitors to enhance our services. By monitoring the site’s most popular areas with users, we can improve our services’ usability and feature set, ensuring a better experience for all.

This aggregated information, which provides a comprehensive overview of how Tender Suppliers visitors use the site, is shared with our trusted partners, including designers, technology service providers, investors, alliance partners, customers, and advertisers. This collaborative sharing, where everyone contributes to improving our services, is crucial in our continuous effort to enhance your experience with us.

Tender Suppliers web servers gather your IP address, device and browser characteristics, site activity records, and other data to assist with diagnosing problems or supporting issues with our services, monitor legitimate use of our site, and provide diagnostic data for maintaining the security of our website.

Tender Suppliers uses cookies to improve your experience. These cookies allow you to use specific services, such as remembering who you are and automatically logging in.

Users who do not wish to receive cookies can instruct their web browsers to refuse them. However, we want to clarify that doing so will prevent access to some areas of the site and limit your use of some Tender Suppliers services. We respect your choice and are committed to providing you with the best possible user experience within your privacy preferences.

To better understand our users, Tender Suppliers may use a third-party measurement company like Google or other web measurement companies to assess site traffic and behaviour. Tracking codes from these companies collect aggregated non-personal data about site, device, browser, and internet service provider usage, among other non-personal data.

This aggregated, non-personal information is collated and provided to Tender Suppliers by three third parties to analyse the site’s usage. This data is also accessible by media organisations and research companies, who conduct industry comparisons with other Internet websites. It is also accessible by third-party advertisers considering advertising on Tender Suppliers via Google or other third-party ad-serving providers.

When you register with Tender Suppliers, we collect personal information about you that you provide so that you can fully take advantage of Tender Suppliers services.

Registration is entirely optional. However, by registering for our free or paid membership services, you gain the power to fully utilize the tools and resources that assist you in finding a tender. This includes submitting your email address, mobile phone number, other contact information, and information about who you are and what type of tender you are looking for. You can access, edit, or delete this information anytime when you log in to your account, giving you complete control over your data.

Tender Alerts are an optional service designed to help visitors maximise their chance of being awarded a tender. Tender Suppliers requests that you provide information about your tender preferences, email address, or mobile phone number so we may notify you via email or SMS of tenders specific to your needs. Users can modify or delete their profiles and unsubscribe from the service anytime. Where signing up for a third-party service is required (for example, Safaricom or Airtel Alerts), we will specify that you are subscribing to a third-party service, not a service from Tender Suppliers.

Please note that Tender Suppliers may still store deleted records in testing or backup systems for some time. Tender Suppliers provides registered members with the option to create a personal profile. Tender Suppliers provides registered members with a range of privacy options about the access allowed to their Profile whereby the tender advertiser sends the tender for which they invite you to apply before you release your application to them.

All information provided when creating a Profile, including name, company profile, email address, telephone numbers, and references, is used to facilitate registered members’ opportunity-seeking efforts. Registered Members can modify, hide, or delete their Profiles anytime. Tender Suppliers reserves the right to disable or delete a Profile at its sole discretion.

Tender Suppliers may also retain information to customise the service we provide to you. For example, Tender Suppliers may use this information to help create a Tender Suppliers Profile that you may use in the future. We will not, however, activate this (or any other service) or disclose this information to any third party without your express consent. Tender Suppliers does, however, reserve the right to disable or delete a saved profile at its discretion. However, we will only do this for security reasons, technological constraints, or other factors unrelated to the user’s personal information or identity.

Tender Suppliers takes all reasonable steps to ensure the security of our systems. We allow you to access your information at any time to keep it accurate and up to date. Any information we hold for you is stored on secure servers belonging to third parties, including Amazon. In addition, our employees and the contractors who provide services related to our information systems are contractually obliged to respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by Tender Suppliers. Our employees have severely restricted access to personal data stored on Tender Suppliers. We are committed to maintaining the highest level of security for your data. However, Tender Suppliers will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorized access to your personal information.

You can also help secure your personal information by keeping any passwords and accounts used on the Tender Suppliers site confidential. Please notify us immediately if any other Internet user unauthorizedly uses your account or breaches security.

Unless you become a registered member, Tender Suppliers does not collect information, documents or images that identifies you personally. If you become a registered member, you can change, update, or delete your registered Profile by logging in.

Tender Suppliers may provide links to third-party sites for online tenders or other applications. These third-party sites do not use your information under Tender Suppliers control, and we cannot accept responsibility for the conduct of different companies.

As a registered member of tendersuppliers.com, you consent that Tender Suppliers can and may provide that member’s personal Profile, company information, documents or images to Tender Suppliers clients who have placed tender ads with matching classifications and locations to the registered member’s Profile and who have purchased access to the member’s Profile.

The Tender Suppliers clients’ use of your personal Profile, company information, documents or images is not within our control, and we cannot accept responsibility or liability for their conduct, use or misuse of your personal profile, company information, documents or images. Tender Suppliers clients who place Tender ads on Tender Suppliers and purchase Tender Suppliers registered members’ profiles are asked to comply with our Terms and Conditions, including a privacy policy regarding their information handling practices.

You may also directly contact advertisers to request access to any personal information you have sent as part of an application or a profile.

Sometimes, we transfer information to third-party contractors, including persons outside of Kenya. Your data and resume may be stored securely on servers in other parts of the world. Limited aspects of your Profile e-information may be accessed by robots belonging to Google, Amazon, Microsoft, or another third-party search engine, security, or other service providers.

By providing us with your personal information, documents, images or text, you consent to such disclosures and storage. In addition, where we transfer information to persons outside Kenya, we believe that the recipients are subject to a law, binding scheme, or contract that effectively upholds principles for fair handling of the information substantially similar to ours.

Tender Suppliers welcomes ideas and feedback about all aspects of the site. We store feedback that users send to us. This feedback will be used to administer and refine the service and may be shared with Tender Suppliers partners either in aggregate form or with specific identifying characteristics removed.

From time to time, Tender Suppliers may review and update its privacy statement. Revised versions will be updated on the website.
